    Privacy Policy

    Effective date: July 2026 — Version 1

    Thank you for your interest in Geneviève. This policy explains what we collect when you join our waitlist and how you can control it. We have tried to write it the way we write everything for you: clearly, and with care.

    Who we are

    Geneviève is a diagnosis program for endometriosis and complex gynecological conditions, developed by Matricis.AI ("Matricis", "we", "us"), a French company (société par actions simplifiée, RCS Paris 982 106 627) located at 6 rue Jean Calvin, 75005 Paris, France.

    Matricis is the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at privacy@matricis.ai.

    What this policy covers

    This policy covers the waitlist form on this website and the messages you exchange with us before the program opens. When the pilot program opens, information related to your care will be handled under a dedicated medical privacy notice, which we will give you before anything begins.

    An important note before you join

    Geneviève is not yet open. Joining the waitlist does not create a medical or physician-patient relationship. Nothing on this website is medical advice, and no diagnosis or treatment is provided through it. If you have symptoms that worry you, please speak with a physician.

    What we collect

    The waitlist form asks for:

    • your first name;
    • your email address;
    • the state where you are located;
    • a short description of your situation, chosen from a list;
    • how you heard about us.

    Providing this information is voluntary. If you prefer not to use the form, you can simply write to us at privacy@matricis.ai.

    Your answer to "What best describes your situation?" may reveal something about your health, for example that you have symptoms or a diagnosis. We treat that answer as health information under the laws that apply to us, and we process it only with your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before submitting the form.

    If you write to us by email, we ask you not to send medical records or detailed health information for now. There will be a proper, protected place for that when the program opens.

    If you are a healthcare professional: please do not include any information about your patient in the form or in your messages. Select the professional option and we will contact you through an appropriate channel.

    Information collected automatically

    This website does not use advertising trackers, and your visit is not shared with social media or advertising platforms. Our servers keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security purposes only; they are retained for 30 days. We do not track you across other websites.

    Why we use your information

    We use what you give us to:

    • confirm your place on the waitlist and reply when you write to us;
    • send you news about Geneviève and tell you when the pilot program opens;
    • understand, in aggregate, who is joining the waitlist (for example, which states future patients live in) so we can prepare the program well;
    • keep our website secure and comply with our legal obligations.

    We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertising platforms or use it to build advertising profiles. We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

    Our legal bases under the GDPR

    Because Matricis is a French company, the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to how we handle your information, wherever you live. Our legal bases are:

    • your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for the waitlist and our communications with you;
    • your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)) for the health-related answer described above;
    • our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the website secure;
    • our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) where the law requires us to keep or provide information.

    You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to privacy@matricis.ai or by using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of what was done before it.

    Who can see your information

    Access is limited to the members of our team who need it for the purposes described above. We also rely on a small number of service providers, bound by contract to protect your information and to act only on our instructions.

    We may disclose information if the law requires it, and where we are permitted to, we will tell you. Beyond that, your information is not shared with anyone.

    Where your information lives

    Your information is processed in the European Union. When information moves between the European Union and the United States, we rely on safeguards recognized under EU law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

    How long we keep it

    We keep waitlist information until the pilot program opens and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If you withdraw your consent or ask for deletion, we delete your information within 30 days. Technical logs are kept for 30 days.

    Your rights

    Wherever you live, we extend the same rights to you:

    • to ask what information we hold about you, and to receive a copy of it;
    • to correct it;
    • to have it deleted;
    • to restrict or object to how we use it;
    • to receive it in a portable format;
    • to withdraw your consent at any time.

    Write to privacy@matricis.ai and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your email address so that we answer the right person. Exercising your rights costs nothing and will never change how we treat you. If we ever decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our answer.

    If you live in the European Union, you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in France, that is the CNIL (cnil.fr). If you live in the United States, you may contact your state Attorney General.

    Consumer health data — residents of Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut

    Your state treats health-related information with particular care, and so do we. The only consumer health data we collect is your answer to the situation question. It comes directly from you, with your consent, and it is used for the purposes listed above. It is shared only with the service providers listed above, it is never sold, and no other company has access to it. You may access it, correct it, ask for its deletion, or withdraw your consent at any time by writing to privacy@matricis.ai.

    Residents of California

    The categories of personal information we collect are: identifiers (your first name and email address), coarse location (your state), internet activity (the technical logs described above), and, where your answer reveals it, health information, which California treats as sensitive personal information. We collect these categories directly from you, for the purposes described above, and we keep them for the periods described above. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we use sensitive personal information only for the purposes you consented to. You have the right to know, correct, delete, and limit, exercisable at privacy@matricis.ai, without any discrimination for doing so.

    Children

    The waitlist is open to adults, eighteen and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a minor has joined, write to us and we will delete the information.

    Security

    Your information travels encrypted and is stored with strict access controls, and our providers are held to the same standard by contract. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects you, we will tell you promptly and plainly, as the law requires.

    A note on HIPAA

    HIPAA, the US federal health privacy law, applies to healthcare providers, health plans, healthcare clearinghouses, and their business associates. Geneviève is not yet providing medical services, so the information you share through this form falls outside its scope. This policy, the GDPR, and the state laws described above are what protect it. When the pilot program opens, information related to your care will be handled under the medical privacy framework that applies to it, and we will explain that framework to you before anything begins.

    Changes to this policy

    If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

    Contact

    For anything at all: contact@matricis.ai, or by post at Matricis.AI, 6 rue Jean Calvin, 75005 Paris, France. We read every message personally, and we will get back to you.

    Any general advice given by our care team or posted on our blog, website, or social media accounts is for informational purposes only and is not intended to replace or substitute for any medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
